Territorial disputes, economy top agenda in Putin's visit to Japan

Russian President Vladmir Putin has arrived in Japan for two days of talks with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. For Japan, anything less than a breakthrough in a long-running territorial dispute over islands in the western Pacific will be a big disappointment.

But ahead of his visit, Putin told Japanese media that both countries "have no territorial problems at all". Japan and Russia are also hoping to make progress on economic cooperation.
