Analysts say China's manufacturing sector still has a few shortages. To solve those problems, innovation could be a key.

"Take mobile phone making as an example. We've made lots of them but the system is designed by foreign companies, such as Android. Meanwhile, integrated circuit and technical patents are our weakness right now. So we need to improve those aspects by encouraging innovation." said Wang Jianzhou,chairman of China Association for Public Companies.

"In the next five years, China will improve industrial products' quality and brand building. We will support companies to improve their design, technology and functions. We aim to strengthen our basic manufacturing capability, develop intellectual manufacturing and high-end equipment and improve green manufacturing level." said Zhang Feng,chief engineer of Ministry og Industry & Information Technology.
