The two astronauts from the Shenzhou-11 mission—Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong—have held a news conference. This was their first public appearance following the return of the Shenzhou-11 spacecraft, and came after a three-week quarantine period.
Jing said he was impressed by the work of his younger colleague. Chen said he had many unforgettable experiences, including raising silkworms and watching them spin cocoons.
The two astronauts spent 33 days in space, a record for China’s space program. They also conducted nearly 40 experiments while in orbit. Both are in good condition after rounds of physical therapy and exercise.
