Authorities in Iraq are claiming a new victory against Islamic State. The Iraqi army says it has taken control of the Qadisiya 2 neighbourhood in eastern Mosul from Islamic State militants.
Footage taken by a freelance cameraman patrolling with Iraqi soldiers shows houses damaged in the fighting and civilians leaving the area.
Standing next to the body of a dead IS fighter, one Iraqi soldier said the militants had been shooting from inside nearby houses, trying to stop troops from advancing into the suburb.
So far, nearly 70,000 civilians have fled the city, according to UN figures.
