Russell Westbrook will take a backseat to Klay Thompson on this night -- but that hasn't happened too often this year -- as the Oklahoma City guard is trying to make history, seeking to join Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson as just the second player to average a triple-double over the course of a season.
He managed his sixth straight in OKC's 102-99 win over Atlanta. So he is the first player since Michael Jordan in 1989 to get a triple-double in half-a-dozen games in row.
And the Thunder have managed to win all six games, during this outburst. OKC is also 9-2 this year when the 28 year-old has grabbed a trip-dub. He has 11 this season, which is the same as the rest of the NBA combined this campaign.
