The Third China International Circus Festival came to a close this weekend in south China's city of Zhuhai. Performers from China, Russia and Belarus claimed the top Golden Tiger Awards.
A Chinese performance which showed terracotta soldiers reincarnating into brave warriors, and a performance presented by Russia and Belarus won the top prizes at this year's competition.
Audiences were stunned by both teams' highly demanding continuous somersaults on bars and teeter boards.
"The performance of the Chinese act on the Russia Bar is unique with the four times triple somersault on the Russia Bar. This has never been seen before. It's unique. And then all the triples and other interesting jumps of the teeter board act from Russian Vampire is also great and in every show it's perfect. No mistake. Perfect, really fine," said Urs Pilz, competition judge.
