Thanksgiving holiday is one the most popular travel period every year, and this year is expected to be the busiest in nine years.
The American Automobile Association forecasts that over 48.7 million Americans will travel during the Thanksgiving holiday period. It also predicts that 3.7 million Americans will travel by air, which is a 1.6% increase from last year.
The forecast factored in jobs, household net worth, stock market performance and air ticket prices. But analysts say the low oil prices should be the main factor that prompts this year's holiday travel surge.
