For four years running China has been the world's top country in terms of outbound tourism. On average, China is contributing 13% of global tourism revenue. And, a number of countries have relaxed their visa policies for Chinese tourists. In November 2014, China and the US entered into an agreement issuing 10 year multiple entry visas to both nation's citizens.
In March 2015, Canada also entered into a similar agreement with China in issuing 10 year visas. In June 2015, Singapore started a 10 year visa scheme for Chinese citizens. And, if one family member is granted the visa, the person's spouse and children under 21 years of age can also enjoy the policy. In January this year, South Korea relaxed their visa policies by starting to issue 10 year visas to professionals such as lawyers, college professors and those who hold master's degrees and above.
