SANTIAGO, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- China and Chile agreed on Tuesday to lift bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

The decision was announced during Chinese President Xi Jinping's first state visit to Chile since taking office in 2013.
