According to data released by the US Institute of International Education, the number of international students in the United States has exceeded one million and about one third of them are from China.
Following China, are countries such as India, South Korea and Saudi Arabia. And Chinese students have contributed more than 11 billion US dollars to the U.S. economy from 2015 to 2016.
For the Chinese students in the U.S., their top three major choices are business and management, engineering, and math and computer sciences. About 40 percent of Chinese students are studying for their undergraduate degrees, and over 37 percent are studying for graduate degrees.
