Known as the Peacock Princess, Yang Liping has graced the stage with so many memorable dances. The Chinese dancer and choreographer has returned to the stage with another peacock-themed dance drama. On Wednesday night, She presented "The Peacock in Winter" in Kun'ming in southwest China's Yun'nan Province.

The Peacock Princess's show is performed before a packed house at Yunnan Arts University’s Shiyan Theater.

As always, the Peacock Princess touched the audience with her elegant moves.

On Wednesday night, Yang Liping presented "The Peacock in Winter" in Kun'ming in southwest China's Yun'nan Province.

"The Peacock in Winter" is a chapter of Yang Liping's dance Peacock, which depicts the four seasons of the peacock.  Winter looks deeply into metempsychosis, or the migration of the soul at death into a different being.

"I've been a big fan of Yang Liping since "Dynamic Yunnan". She's amazing! It's an honor to watch her dance."

"The costumes and stage match perfectly, and the story is touching. There were several scenes that made me want to cry. And this is just the Winter section, so I'm very looking forward to see the other three chapters."

Crowned as "Peacock Princess" and "Dance Goddess", Yang Liping is a ethnic Bai native of Dali, Yunnan. She has created popular dance dramas like "Dynamic Yunnan", and danced in many acclaimed pieces inspired by the peacock, the symbol of her hometown. From Peacock Princess to Spirit of Peacock, Yang always depicts the bird's vitality and nobility.

The show will be staged in Kunming from Wednesday to Friday, and will later tour 27 cities across China including Shanghai, Shenzhen and Zhuhai.
