The Wizards have been dreadful this year, managing just two wins in their first ten games, and that included a three-game losing streak. The Wiz's record not reflective of the play of John Wall, who is top-15 in the league in scoring, and top four in assists, and the man known as the Wall-Star would control things as they hosted the team from the Big Apple.
And that is a look at what will soon the Trump Town.
The Wiz point guard fakes the jumper and finds Bradley Beal for the triple -- the hosts would pour in a season-high 15 threes on this night, as they grab a 10 points lead.
And another longball -- this time from Otto Porter pushes the lead to a baker's dozen. Porter scores 21.
Derrick Rose would try and keep the Knickerbockers in it -- as he is also able to hit from the outside. He has a game-high 27, but the lead is still double digits.
Wall would then start to take over in the third -- first he is able to hit from the land beyond.
And then outraces everyone to the cup to make it a 19 advantage for Team DC. Wall with 23 points and 11 assists.
One of those dimes coming to Marcin Gortat, who hits the foul-line J. The Polish Hammer adding 16 as the lead stretches to 20.
And the former number one overall pick would extend the lead even more with another triple, as the Wizards are mystifying the Knicks.
Then it is Wall again leading the charge on the fast-break, setting up Markieff Morris for the alley-oop. And then the playful celebration. Wiz win it by 7 and snap a three-game losing skid.
In other action, Miami ended a six-game losing streak by beating Milwaukee. James Harden had a triple-double of 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists in Houston's demolition of Portland. Andrew Wiggins erupted for 35 as Minny clobbered Philly. Chicago outlasted Utah.
