A China-themed book exhibition kicked off on Wednesday in Ecuador's capital Quito, ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's Latin American tour with Ecuador as his first stop.

Xi Jinping's book "The Governance of China" is a key title featured during the exhibition month.

Huang Kunming, Vice Executive of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, said at the opening ceremony that the Chinese government hopes the Ecuadorian people can learn more about China through the event.
