The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade released its 2016 China Investment Climate Survey report on Thursday. The CCPIT reports that more than 4,200 companies it surveyed report scored 3.85 out of 5 in the current investment environment.
The CCPIT says the report also showed that China's investment environment continues to improve. Companies with no more than 500 employees accounted for over 80 percent of all of the businesses surveyed. 60 percent of the surveyed companies have less than 20 million RMB in registered capital while 70 percent have been in business for more than five years. More than 16 percent of those surveyed are foreign companies.
CCPIT officials say the survey is the first close look at the investment environment. Liu Yingkui of the CCPIT says the conclusions can boost the confidence of the private sector.
