Foreign direct investment into China rose 4.2 percent to 666.3 billion yuan or $97 billion in the first 10 months of this year. That was the word Thursday from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The ministry also said that China's non-financial outbound direct investment rose 53.3 percent during the first 10 months to 961.9 billion yuan from a year ago. In October alone, China's outbound investment increased 48.4 percent year-on-year.
