The seventh "Dubai TV Festival" has kicked off at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center. A series Chinese TV programs translated into Arabic are showcased at the event.
The "China Film and TV Program Promotion," sponsored by the State Council Information Office and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television has been making a grand debut at this year's Dubai TV Festival.
A number of television series and documentaries has been traslated into the Arab language and met the local audience. China also invited the Arab media to extensive cooperation in program production, broadcast and resource sharing.
"CCTV-Arabic attended the exhibition. We found that CCTV and Arab TV organizations has broad prospects in the area of international cooperation such as co-productions, Chinese TV drama translation and more. This is important for both parties. This will help cater our program to the Arab audience," said Jia Peng, deputy director of CCTV Arabic.
In recent years, in response to China's "belt and road" initiative, the two countries have expanded economic, trade and personnel exchanges.
Li Lingbing, Chinese consul general in Dubai, said that the two sides should work together to increase mutual understanding.
"Now China and our international colleagues are working together for "belt and road" initiative. And there are many new stories happening along the way, which we need to tell to the rest of the world. We need to join hands to do it better," Li said.
