China, Peru sign $2 bln worth of purchasing agreements amid APEC fever

China and Peru signed deals worth 2 billion U.S. dollars on Monday as the APEC Leaders' Week opened in Lima. The purchase agreements were in light industry, textiles, agricultural products, medicine, and metals. More than 100 government officials and business representatives attended the signing ceremony.

China has become Peru's largest trade partner and export destination while Peru is China's third largest trade partner in Latin America. Officials attending the leaders week said China and Peru are expected to share development opportunities and expand trade.
