The Chinese Ministry of Commerce is urging the European Union to avoid abusing trade remedy measures in its steel trade disputes with China.
That came after the European Commission decided to impose provisional anti-dumping duties on seamless steel tubes from China for six months. The Commerce Ministry says that the EU's use of third country prices to calculate the value of products from a non-market economy country is unfair.
The ministry called on the EU to strictly respect World Trade Organization rules and try to settle disputes through dialogue and negotiations.
