Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Uzbek counterpart Abdulaziz Kamilov have agreed to further develop the relationship between their two countries.

Wang says both countries will build on the work that was done during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit in June. This reinvigorates the comprehensive strategic partnership.

Joint projects for the Silk Road Economic Belt will continue to be the focus of bilateral cooperation. China will help Uzbekistan hasten its industrialization.

China and Uzbekistan will also cooperate in law enforcement, security and intelligence. The two will combat the so-called three forces of separatism, terrorism and extremism to maintain global stability.
