Obama administration gives up on enacting Pacific trade deal

The trade agreement known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which may be on its last legs-- at least in the United States.

The agreement was signed in February by 12 Pacific Rim nations -- but it notably excluded China.

The Obama Administration just announced it would not seek congressional approval for the deal. Rather, it will leave it up to the incoming president, Donald Trump--who opposed the agreement during his campaign.
