President Xi Jinping has talked with astronauts, Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong, who are currently in the Tiangong-2 space lab orbiting Earth.

President Xi was speaking from the manned space program command center in Beijing. Both astronauts travelled to Tiangong-2 in the Shenzhou-11 spacecraft at the start of their month-long space mission which began on October 17. They have now spent 20 days in orbit carrying out a number of experiments aboard the space lab.
