United Nations talks on climate change opened on Monday in the Moroccan city of Marrakech. One-hundred ninety-six nations have gathered to work on the implementation of last year’s Paris climate accord.
They are expected to draft rules on how to measure and report gas emissions, as well as the financial contributions pledged to poor countries also dealing with climate change.
The COP-22 talks continue until November 18.
