A news agency affiliated with the Islamic State militant group has released a video showing it blowing up a Russian helicopter in a rural area of eastern Homs province.

The Russian military confirmed one of its helicopters came under rebel fire while delivering humanitarian aid and was forced to make an emergency landing before being destroyed. However, it said that its crew were unhurt and were rescued immediately after the incident.
