China, Russia hail past outcomes, vow for closer ties

The latest meeting aimed at preparing for the upcoming talks between Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev in St. Petersburg. Wang Yang said this meeting mechanism has contributed to increasing mutual trust between the two countries. He also called on both sides to consolidate the favorable trend in trade and further tap into cooperation potential. Rogozin said it is in Russia's foreign policy priority to enhance its partnership with China, seeing as how both countries have supported each other on each other's core interests like national sovereignty and security.

Multiple deals were also sealed at the meeting, including on nuclear energy, aviation, and agriculture.
