Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has met with Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis in the capital Riga. The meeting was followed by the signing of economic deals in various fields.

On Saturday, the two heads of state will attend the 5th Meeting of Governments of Central and Eastern European Countries and China, or the 16-plus-1 cooperation mechanism.
It aims to promote closer and more expansive cooperation among China, 11 EU member states and five Balkan countries.
These ties are in the fields of investment, transportation, finance, science, education, and culture.
