Chinese Basketball Commentator Xu Jicheng has this to say. "The CBA has made the shoes ban clear to every team and they have said they understand. The team's players should comply with this policy, but Yi Jianlian should have more suitable shoes following this incident."

Former NCAA player Ma Jian said, " in order for the shoes issue to be resolved, the players and the CBA sponsors have to come together but which player would be the one to negotiate?"

And finally Basketball Commentator Su Qun thinks: "the sponsors should make a concession and not sacrifice the CBA and its players."
