Guinean President Alpha Conde is in Beijing for a state visit and has met with President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People. 

Xi pointed out that Guinea was the first sub-Saharan African country to establish diplomatic ties with China. He said China is ready to translate their traditional friendship into bilateral cooperation and development.

Conde thanked China for its continuous support to Guinea’s economic and social development, especially in the fight against Ebola. He also said Guinea highly values China’s Africa policy.
