France and China will establish a fund for joint investment in overseas projects. That was the word Monday from France's foreign minister.

The two countries' foreign ministers said in Beijing that the Hinkley Point nuclear project in the UK is a good example of what France and China can do together to win contracts in third markets.

The co-investment model will be extended in other markets in Africa and Asia. No details regarding the timetable for the fund were immediately available.
