Guangzhou Evergrande already wrapped up the title -- their sixth straight, but still wanted to close-out the season in style in their last game against Shandong Luneng.
The new coach of the Chinese national team Marcello Lippi was in attendance, the Italian has a history with Evergrande, leading them to 3-CSL titles and an AFC crown.
Ricardo Goulart netted the opening goal for Guangzhou in the 12th minute when he headed home Zheng Long's cross. It was the Brazilian league-leading 18th goal of the CSL season.
Ten minutes later, Liao Lisheng gives Guangzhou a 2-nil lead with a fine strike from outside the area.
Guangzhou were awarded a penalty five minutes after the restart when Alan is brought down by Song Long in the area.
The Brazilian then converted it himself and it is three-nil.
Goulart then scored his second of the night, and his 19th of the season, midway through the second half to seal Guangzhou's 4-0 victory. Guangzhou will now try to complete the domestic double when they face Jiangsu Suning in next month's Chinese FA Cup final over two legs.
"As the senior team's coach, we should train more young players. We should give them more chances, and make full use of their potential ability," said Luiz Felipe Scolari, Guangzhou Evergrande Coach.
"The yongsters are in charge of the development of Chinese football in the future. In the meantime, I hope China can have matches specially designed for young players, for the ages of 16, 17 and 18. I am eager to see both the development of the CSL and youth league matches here.
HANGZHOU GREENTOWN 2- YANBIAN FUNDE 2
In other action, Hangzhou Greentown was taking on Yanbian Funde and Hangzhou needed a win to avoid being relegated.
Greentown's Anselmo Ramon opened the scoring in the 31st minute but Yanbian equalized twelve minutes later.
Yanbian took the lead as Nikola Petkovic's left-footed penalty shot went through the wall and into the net.
Denilson Gabionetta's penalty kick in injury time helped Hangzhou Greentown tie things at 2, they could not find another goal, and will be demoted.
Hangzhou Greentown joins Shijiazhuang Ever Bright to move down. They will be replaced by Tianjin Quanjian and Guizhou Zhicheng, who will move to the CSL next season.
