With winter just around the corner, China is set to be hit by another cold snap. The National Meteorological Center says the frigid weather is likely to last until November 2. Northern regions will see further temperature drops, strong winds and snowfall.

Temperatures in cities such as Harbin, Changchun and Hohhot will drop below freezing point, with the lowest readings at about minus 10 degrees Celsius.

The three provinces in the Northeast are also expecting different amounts of snowfall in the next two days. The center has warned that Jilin province may need to brace against heavy snowfall or even blizzards.

Residents in South China might also have to say goodbye to the warm and nice weather, as provinces such as Guizhou are likely to experience a drastic change from warm to cold.
