Full coverage: China Tiangong-2 Space Lab Launch
Chinese medical experts have tested the remote medical consulting system linking the Tiangong-2 space lab and the ground-based space center for the first time.
The test took place at the Telemedicine Center in the General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The medical staff received the astronauts' data and carried out check-ups and cardiac function tests. They then retransmitted a diagnosis and prescription back to the astronauts.
The experts point out, although the two astronauts have basic medical treatment skills, they might need to consult doctors about any complex symptoms that arise.
