The WPBSA International Championship is being held in Daqing. And the country's top player, Ding Junhui was in action in the first round as the world number six took on England's David Grace.
After a brilliant display to win the third frame and take a 2-1 lead, Ding would be on pace for a 147 here in the fourth as Grace can only sit and watch.
And the Chinese was still on track for a maximum after clearing the reds leaving only the colours to contend with. He takes his time to set up on this green to ensure he gets the right placement for the brown, but ends up leaving it short.
That results in a tough cut into the corner and Ding misses it. A huge disappointment for the Chinese as that would have been his seventh 147 in competition and he misses out on a nice bonus.
And from there he wastes little time in taking care of business, going on to close it out 6-1 to book his place in the second round.

CHINA'S LIANG BEATS COMPATRIOT CHEN 6-5
Now we've got local favourite Liang Wenbo taking on a fellow Chinese in the first round in the form of Chen Zifan from Xi'an.
Chen may seem pretty focused on his lip right now, but he would provide a tough challenge for Liang and push the best of eleven frame match to the limit.
But in the end, much like the Highlander, there can be only one and that would be Liang who pulls it out 6-5. Next up for him is another Chinese, Li Xing.
O'SULLIVAN OVERCOMES XIAO 6-4
Another Chinese, Xiao Guodong, would face the tough task of taking on five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan, who looks pretty relaxed. The tenth frame comes down to the black and O'Sullivan pots it to even the score at 62 and force a re-spotted black to break the deadlock and the Rocket would go on to claim the victory 6-4.
TRUMP DOUBLES UP YUAN 6-3
And another young Chinese, Yuan Sijun took on world number three Judd Trump. The wildcard Yuan would do well to win three frames and tie it up at 3-all, but from there Trump would take control as the Englishman would roll to a 6-3 win to earn a place in the second round.
