Bilateral trade between China and Cambodia reached 4.4 billion US dollars in 2015. That was up 18 percent from 2014.
China is the largest investor in Cambodia. China's cumulative investment in the country totalled 10.1 billion US dollars between 1994 and April 2015.
Major Chinese investment targets include energy, clothing production, banking and finance, telecommunications and agriculture. Boosting cooperation in infrastructure interconnectivity has emerged as the top priority for bilateral cooperation under China's Belt & Road Initiative.
Strengthening coordination within multilateral frameworks is another key point for China-Cambodia relations.
China supports Cambodia in the integration process of ASEAN, and the construction of the ASEAN community.
China also vows to enhance cooperation under the initiatives of East Asia cooperation and Lancang-Mekong Cooperation. China aims to jointly maintain the common interests of the two countries and other developing nations in the region.
