Despite revitalized diplomatic ties with Turkey, Russia's relations with the west are getting worse. Russian president Vladimir Putin has cancelled his visit to France next week, after Russia vetoed a French UN security council draft over the Syrian crisis.
The Kremlin has confirmed that Russia President Putin will not visit Paris on Oct 19. Putin will also not visit his French and German counterparts for several talks on Syrian crisis.
While cancelling the trip, Putin said he is ready to visit Paris at a more convenient time. The trip cancellation is the latest sign of deterioration of ties between Russia and the west.
Last week, Moscow vetoed a UN security council resolution drafted by France calling for an announce to the bombing of Aleppo. Earlier French President Hollande announced Russia could face war crime charges of its bombing on Allepo.
