Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to pay a state visit to Cambodia from Thursday.

Cambodia's largest daily newspaper, Rasmei Kampuchea, published an article by President Xi that says the countries enjoy a solid relationship amid a changing international environment. Xi also said both countries stand at a key moment for development, and their comprehensive strategic partnership should be further improved in all areas.

The trip is a bid to push forward cooperation within the framework of China's Belt and Road Initiative. The visits also reaffirm China's commitment to neighborhood diplomacy, sincerity and inclusiveness.
