Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has met with Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa in Beijing.

The Premier held a welcoming ceremony at the Great Hall of the People. He said China is pleased to connect the "One Belt-One Road" initiative with Portugal's development strategy as they continue to improve economic and trade relations.

The Portuguese prime minister said Portugal is willing to cooperate with China in sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture and new energy resources.

Both of the leaders witnessed the signing of documents related to investment, telecoms and culture. They also held a joint press conference.
