Foreign Minister Wang Yi says China will continue to firmly support Colombia’s peace process. He made the comments Friday during his visit to the Latin American nation.
Wang met with his Colombian counterpart Maria Angela Holguin in the capital Bogota. He said there is a compelling wish to end war and seek peace in Colombia, and peaceful negotiations is the way forward.
During an earlier meeting with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, Wang said China wants to examine the feasibility of a free trade agreement with Colombia as soon as possible. He said China will work with Colombia to protect the interests of developing countries and maintain the international free trade system to help improve bilateral relations.
