The National Bureau of Statistics has released September's data for China's manufacturing Purchasing Manager's Index. The PMI comes in at 50.4 percent, the same rate as August and stays in expansion for the second month in a row.
The PMI for the high-tech and equipment manufacturing industries kept a faster pace at around 52 percent. Aerospace, railway, automobile, and electronic devices manufacturing PMIs are all above 52 percent as well.
Controls on surpluses led to a drop for nonmetal mineral products and the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing. China's non-manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index stood at 53.7 percent in September, a slight increase from the previous month's reading.
