Israeli leaders have gathered at the casket of the late former President Shimon Peres to mourn his passing.
The casket has been placed at the Knesset, Israel's legislature, in Jerusalem. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein laid wreaths at the casket.
Meanwhile, the city of Tel Aviv is also mourning with displays commemorating the late former statesman. The word "peace" written in both English and Hebrew was projected on the municipality building, alongside Peres' name and the Israeli flag.
The former president will be laid to rest on Friday in Jerusalem in a state funeral, which will see several world leaders in attendance.
