Pakistan has condemned India for its "unprovoked firing" along Kashmir's Line of Control, which saw two Pakistani soldiers killed early on Thursday.
Pakistani troops returned fire against what it called Indian military aggression. India's military says it carried out "surgical strikes" against terrorists along the de facto border with Pakistan in Kashmir.
India's director-general of military operations, Ranbir Singh, said the strikes were aimed at neutralizing terrorist forces preparing to invade Indian territory.
