Wall Street ended higher on Wednesday on a rally in oil shares. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 0.61 percent. The S&P gained 0.53 percent. And, the Nasdaq Composite added 0.24 percent. The energy index had its best day since January, rising more than 4 percent.
That's after OPEC sources said the group reached a deal to cut its oil production for the first time since 2008. Oil prices rallied as much as 6 percent. The news of a possible cut in oil production has more than offset nervousness about the tight US presidential race between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
