In China where Typhoon Megi, the 17th typhoon to hit the region this year, has made landfall. It struck Quanzhou city, in east China's Fujian Province, at 4:40 a.m. Megi brings winds of up to one-hundred-and-eighteen kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, China's National Meteorological Centre has continued to issue an orange alert, the second highest of a four-tier warning system, for rainstorms on Wednesday.

Heavy rainfalls are forecast for parts of Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces in east China and Guangdong province in south of the country.
