Israeli media reports say former Israeli president and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shimon Peres has passed away at the age of 93.
He had been in a hospital near Tel Aviv since September 13, when he was admitted after suffering a stroke.
Peres was born on August the 2nd, 1923, in Belarus. He served twice as the prime minister of Israel and twice as interim prime minister.
In a political career spanning over 60 years, he also served as deputy prime minister, defense, foreign, and finance minister.
