Much of Tel Aviv is mourning the former Israeli president, but they are also praising him as "a man of peace".
"He was a great man; he's a man of peace. He's the one, who, I would say, he united the people in Israel, Arabs, Jews, Christians, everything. One that we will never forget for what he did and he's contributed to his country," said Itzhak Amram, resident of Tel Aviv.
"He is the last founding father who passed away. So as the young generation, I feel a big responsibility about what they left us here, because there is a lot of work to be done in this country," said Gabriel Brodzky, resident of Tel Aviv.
