A series of explosions in Baghdad killed at least 17 civilians. About 50 others are injured in Iraq.

The first attack took place in a commercial area in the eastern part of the city. Authorities say a suicide bomber approached a group of construction workers before detonating a vest full of explosives. Hours later, another suicide bomber killed six people and wounded 21 others. In the western part of the city, a roadside bomb killed two people.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
