China will celebrate its week-long National holiday in less than a week. And the China Tourism Academy predicts about half the Chinese population will travel during this holiday - both domestically and abroad.
It says tourism revenue may jump to 72 billion US dollars, an increase of 13.5 percent from a year ago. Beijing's Forbidden City, Hangzhou's West Lake, Shanghai Disneyland, and Yunnan Province's Lijiang are among the popular tourist destinations.
Neighbouring countries such as Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Singapore will also see an influx of Chinese tourists. Passenger flow will start from September 30th to October the third.
