To the Korean Peninsula now and the United States air force conducted a second flyover of South Korea on Wednesday. The B-1 Lancer aircraft flew over the Osan Air Base south of the capital Seoul in response to the nuclear weapons test carried out in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on September 9th.

The B-1s were escorted by fighter jets from South Korea's air force. The US said the flyover was an assurance of the country's commitment to preserving security on the peninsula and in the region.
