Premier Li Keqiang said a stable political and economic relationship between the US and China is in the interest of both countries and the world. In response to complaints from foreign businesses about restricted access to the Chinese market, Li said that China will be more open to foreign investment and the door will not close.
Li said the Chinese government will continue to simplify procedures and enhance intellectual property protection to make it more convenient for foreign firms to invest in China. On the ongoing negotiations of Bilateral Investment Treaty, Li said he is confident that the two sides will be able to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
