Li is in New York for the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, and it has already held a high-level plenary meeting to address the large movements of refugees and migrants around the world.
Li said that China will provide U.S.$100 million in additional assistance for global refugees. World leaders also approved a declaration aimed at providing a more coordinated and humane response to the refugee crisis that has strained resources and stoked divisions from Africa to Europe.
