Executive Creative director Stuart Vevers offered fringed clothes, fringed shoes and fringed bags. And he closed the show with a series of studded fringe dresses.
Feminine sheers, some with floral and heart prints, were toughened up with black leather. Scarves and bags were accessorized with padlocks.

Actress Chloe Grace Moretz, who stars in Coach's Fall 2016 campaign, gave Vevers credit for reinvigorating the brand.

"When you look at this, when you look at this, you look at this front row, you look at this set, Stuart (Vevers) has really reinvented the face of Coach," she said.

"He's really made it his own and I think he and I together for the last two-and-a-half years now brought something really different to such a beautiful, iconic 75 year old brand but it feels so young, it feels so fresh, it feels so new that me and my friends, my brother, my younger friends and my older friends - we're all wanting to wear and be a part of this brand. I think that's just, you know, Coach embodies American youth."

Designer celebrates 20th anniversary of career

Designer Monique Lhuillier strutted down memory lane with a show celebrating her 20th anniversary in fashion career.  Romance ran throughout the collection of red carpet stunners in pale pinks and blush tones, feathers, and delicate embroideries with splashes of sequins – some even heart shaped.

"You're going to see a lot of nostalgic Monique pieces because this year is our 20th year in business and I decided to go through my archives and start there," she said.

"And I went through this journey of like remembering all these pieces and what really stood out and what were elements that were signature Monique and have been in the collection since I started there and I'm highlighting it today."

Layers of draped pastel tulle flowed behind models as they strutted down the runway in glittery stilettos and strappy flats.

And those teeny tiny waists were cinched in by chunky black belts, with the silk charmeuse ties adding some edge and drama to the feminine line.
